March 9, 2019March 9, 2019Uncategorized Our Spring calving has started with a hand full of calves on the ground. The weather here has been different for us. There has been an abundance of rain to say the least. We recently took a few cows down to the Florida State Fair. Proud to say one of our 4 month old heifers took reserve grand champion female. Be sure to visit our for sale page, we always have something for sale. Signing off for now and wishing you all green pastures and healthy cows!
December 20, 2018December 20, 2018Uncategorized Just a few more days to Christmas and isn’t it great. It has been really wet here in East Tennessee, only one snow so far though. Bulls went back to work the first part of December. Finished the fall calving with 10 heifers and 5 bull calves. Continually updating the cattle for sale page to include many of the new arrivals. Also will have some bred cows for sale, if you don’t see them just ask Kathy. In addition our show champion bull “Capristo” is still for sale, he is out working as I type. So glad you are visiting our website. Have a Merry Christmas & a Safe Happy New Year!
September 17, 2018September 17, 2018Uncategorized Chaneys Dexters attended the Tennessee Valley Fair at the end of last week. We did really well, it could have been better had more Dexter cattle been there. We get a lot of interest from the public while in the barn after the show. There is always someone walking by that is interested in buying cattle or beef.
September 11, 2018September 11, 2018Uncategorized It has been a busy summer for Chaney’s Dexters. In May we ventured up to Ohio to show off a few of our cows, had a great time. In June we took off for Kansas and attended the ADCA AGM, that was well worth the trip. On the way back we detoured up to North Dakota and picked up a really nice bull “Moose”. Then in August two of our young females took grand champion and reserve grand champion at the Wilson County Fair. Most all of our spring calves that were for sale have left the farm now. Our fall calving season has started though and since September 5th we have had two heifers and a bull, with many more coming. We are updating our web page to include info on our herd so keep visiting…..
